Job Description:

The University of Mount Saint Vincent, invites applications for the position of Assistant Dean in its ACBSP-accredited School of Business. This is a one-year appointment beginning in Fall 2025. Reporting directly to the Dean of the School of Business, the Assistant Dean will play a key role in supporting the academic and administrative functions of the School. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong student-centered focus and a commitment to academic excellence.

Responsibilities:

+ Advise and mentor students on academic progress and professional development

+ Oversee academic probation processes and facilitate student resolution cases

+ Collect, analyze, and report data for program assessment and accreditation

+ Contribute written content and compile documentation for accreditation reports

+ Support daily School operations through effective administrative coordination

+ Develop and manage semester course schedules

+ Vet, hire, and onboard adjunct and new faculty members

+ Conduct classroom observations and evaluations of existing faculty

+ Coordinate honor society membership, eligibility, and communications

+ Plan and execute School events, including logistics and outreach

+ Track and maintain records of student internships and job placements

Requirements

+ Undergraduate degree in Business or a related field required; M.B.A. preferred

+ Candidates with a terminal degree may be considered for advancement to Associate Dean

+ Demonstrated commitment to student success and engagement

+ Proficiency in academic assessment, accreditation standards, and reporting requirements

+ Teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level preferred

+ Professional experience in the business field is desirable

The allotted salary range is $80,000 - $90,000
