The **HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER OUTPATIENT PHARMACY DEPARTMENT** is looking for an outstanding **PHARMACY TECHNICIAN 2 - MAIL ORDER SERVICE** to join our Outpatient Pharmacy team!
WORK SCHEDULE
• Full-Time / 40 hours per week
• Day Shift
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
• Perform non-professional/technical tasks related to the management for mail order patients served by the Outpatient Pharmacies
• Act as a liaison between the patients and the pharmacy staff, to ensure effective communication regarding mail order services
• All activities shall be performed under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Function as primary mail order technician for Outpatient pharmacy patients enrolled in the mail order program.
• Confirm that patients are eligible for mail order and confirm that all required enrollment forms are completed and filed accurately.
• Enter, fill and prepare for verification all mail order medication prescriptions using the Outpatient Pharmacy Computer System.
• Work with Inventory specialist in regards to maintaining appropriate Inventory for mail order patients.
• Work with Program Operations Specialist and Billing technician 2 when issues arise in regards to mail order patients third party payor plans and/or rejections.
• Understand and follow all shipping guidelines for contracted Mail order services.
• Order and maintain all supplies needed for mail order program.
• Contact patients for correct payment information.
• Contact patients for correct address information.
• Be primary contact and resolve all issues in regards to delivery issues, missed deliveries and patient complaints.
• Educate pharmacy staff about mail order program billing policies and procedures.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of mail order policies and procedures.
• Perform the duties of a Pharmacy Technician I.
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Six months of experience as a Pharmacy Technician 1 OR equivalent education/experience.
**LEGAL REQUIREMENT** State of Washington Pharmacy Technician certification.
