    About the Position

     

    The Sr. Onboarding Specialist, HCBS is responsible for assisting with the end-to-end hiring of new Home and Community Based team members, picking up the process directly following offer extensions performed by the talent acquisition. This includes collecting required paperwork and processing pre-employment screenings and communicating various updates to candidates and management. This role will be a liaison between hiring managers, candidates, Talent Acquisition and HR team.

     

    This is a management position with one direct report. This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and will also collaborate closely with the HR/Employee Relations Manager, HR Generalist, and Talent Acquisition resource who support HCBS.

    Job Duties

    The main job duties are listed below:

    + Performs onboarding steps including extending offers of employment (if needed to support TA), collecting new hire paperwork, licensure and consent forms, reference checks, background checks, TB testing, completing I-9 Forms, E-Verify and other required documents for HCBS. Is responsible for tracking new hires throughout the onboarding process, communicating with new hires and management and general tasks relating to onboarding

    + Maintains active new hire files by saving documents to Teams and Docuware in a timely manner pre and post hire. Responsible for keeping paperwork organized and properly filed at all times for compliance reasons.

    + Communicates with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition team regarding new hire status promptly and efficiently, on a daily basis. Utilizes technology (such as Microsoft Teams, Planner, etc) to organize and track hires. Also must utilize HireBridge (applicant tracking system) and may implement and learn new technologies as the department advances.

    + Provides excellent customer service to new hires and acts as a concierge to guide them through the onboarding process until date of hire. A high level of responsiveness is required when working with management and new hires.

    + For off-cycle hires (those not starting with a set orientation date), this position sets up the hires in Relias (learning management software), tracks completion, and ensures the new hire comes in person to present required documents for the Form I-9 with the prescribed timeline. This requires communication and collaboration with the HR Generalist and managers to ensure all are in alignment with the required next actions.

    + Provides daily management and oversight to Onboarding Specialist and serves as the main point of contact for onboarding processes and procedures for Goodwin Living.

    + Assists other HR team members with general tasks and projects as assigned. May be asked to serve on a subcommittee or project group for audits, new implementations, process improvements, etc.

    + Attends Goodwin Living Orientation (GLO) for new team members (along with Sr. Onboarding Specialist) to provide badges/ access cards, assist new hires with paperwork completion and ID collection and provides support for the HR Generalists as needed during orientation.

    Job Qualifications

    + A degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources or related field preferred.

    + An HR related certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR is preferred.

    + Must have prior Human Resources or office management experience (1-2 years).

    + Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Teams, etc. Must be able to learn other technologies and portals as needed.

    + Must be exceptionally customer service oriented.

    + Must be detail oriented and able to handle multiple competing tasks efficiently with ability to prioritize pressing matters.

    + Must be able to deal tactfully with others.

    + Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
