Summary
The Senior Benefits Analyst is responsible for the analysis, administration, and continuous improvement of corporate health, welfare, retirement, and leave of absence/disability plans. The Senior Benefits Analyst serves as a key member of the Benefits team, supporting strategic initiatives and enhancing employee experience.
This position will support our Human Resources team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week. This position is based out of our North Dallas office location in Dallas, TX.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Benefits Administration
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with benefit brokers and vendor partners.
+ Support benefits programs and provide guidance to leaders and employees.
+ Takes an active role in the Annual Enrollment process and conducts employee presentations
+ Administer benefit changes due to qualifying life events.
+ Resolve escalated vendor claims issues and ensure timely resolution.
+ Provide employee support for Health Savings Account (HSA) administration and submit funding requests.
+ Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of benefit and retirement/savings program administration.
+ Cross-train and serve as back-up to other Benefits team members.
+ Consolidate and submit benefit invoices for payment.
Retirement Plans
+ Provide employee support for 401(k) Plan administration.
+ Administer day-to-day operations of the 401(k) plan, including benefit calculations/elections, distributions, data management/reporting, and plan funding.
+ Review and submit invoices for retirement/pension plan administrative expenses.
Leave Administration
+ Assist employees, HRBPs, and leaders with various types of leaves (short-term disability, PFL, PPL).
+ Coordinate with disability vendor to obtain leave information and monitor status.
+ Provide payroll hour utilization calculations during leaves.
+ Support employees and HRBPs throughout the accommodation process to ensure a smooth experience.
Plan Compliance
+ Assist in monitoring plan compliance and support audits and regulatory filings.
+ Report potential compliance issues to the Benefits Compliance Senior Analyst.
Education & Experience
+ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience is requried.
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in benefits administration and compliance.
+ Demonstrated expertise in benefits compliance, systems management, and vendor oversight.
+ Experience administering benefit laws, regulations and programs including: HIPAA, FMLA, ADAA, COBRA and ACA is required.
+ Experience with federal/state leave laws, statutory and city sick pay regulations, and internal LOA reports is required.
+ Experience with administering retirement and HSA plans is required.
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
+ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
