As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will work closely with data architects, engineering leads, and stakeholders across cross-functional teams to build scalable data solutions and pipelines in cloud environments. This position requires hands-on experience in data engineering tools and technologies, cloud service providers, and exposure to CI/CD practices.
You will play a key role in designing and optimizing data workflows, working with modern data formats and processing frameworks. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with the teams located in the US, Canada, and India.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about data, demonstrates strong problem-solving capabilities, and thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. You should be comfortable working with large datasets, distributed data processing engines, and modern cloud-based data services.
Requirements:
+ 2+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a related field.
+ Proficient in Python, SQL, and PySpark for building and optimizing data pipelines.
+ Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and services like S3, Redshift, Glue, and EMR.
+ Strong understanding of data lake, data warehouse, and distributed data processing concepts.
+ Exposure to CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and version control systems like Git.
+ Ability to work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.
+ Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and effective team collaboration in Agile environments.
Preferences:
+ Experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions.
+ Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, ECS, EKS) and RESTful APIs.
+ Working knowledge of Apache Iceberg, and OLTP/analytical databases like PostgreSQL, Oracle, Redshift, or Snowflake.
+ Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
+ Previous work in consulting, analytics, or platform teams with a product mindset.
+ Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint-based delivery practices.
+ Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plus but not mandatory.
