    The HR Business Partner will have 6-10 years of HR experience working directly with Sr. Leaders and Executives. This individual will be responsible for leading a small HR Operational team (1 HR Generalist and 1 HR Coordinator) to support the talent management function of their business unit. The HRBP will be responsible for the strategic initiatives for their given business unit as it relates to onboarding and offboarding, retention/engagement of associates, performance management, leadership/associate coaching and advising, associate relations, etc. HRBP will partner closely with the Centers of Excellence (COE) to implement and support broader enterprise initiatives.

    A DAY IN THE LIFE

    + Oversee a small HR Operations team (HR Generalist and HR Coordinator), while driving key initiatives around onboarding, associate engagement, performance management, leave management, associate relations, training and offboarding.

    + Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders within the client group, so as to be able to identify and respond to current and future people-related requirements.

    + Serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to our internal client stakeholders on all HR initiatives.

    + Collaborate across our HR competency areas (Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Total Rewards) to provide seamless HR support to both client companies and HR team.

    + Manage associate relations issues, including individual cases and any needed changes to management programs for education on awareness of employment laws and best practices.

    + Interpret and advise on HR policy to assist in reaching viable solutions and managing associated risk.

    + Consult with leaders to develop and execute our Talent Management Strategy.

    + Develop and guide the execution of HR programs, processes, communications, and other strategic initiatives.

    + Stay current on leading HR trends and deliver practical and insightful thought leadership, including the development and personal growth of our people, with the objective of enabling our people to excel.

    + Support the national development of HR initiatives, identifying and managing opportunities in the client group and working more widely across the HR function to support the achievement of strategic goals.

    + Actively contribute to and collaborate with the broader HR/Talent team – sharing knowledge and practices that will help HR be more effective to the entire organization.

    + Provide training to leadership and associates on HR related subjects as needed.

     

    Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

     

    This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

     

    + Communicate effectively and take instructions.

    + Sit or stand at computer terminal or desk.

    + Have ability to walk, kneel, use of hands, climb stairs, have full range of motion, occasionally lift office products up to 20 lbs.

    + Be willing to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.

    + Work at a fast pace, while multi-tasking at times.

    + Travel up to 5-10% for various office visits, company conferences, or training.

    NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

    + Must have 6-10 years as an HR Business Partner with exposure to several areas of HR

    + Bachelor’s degree required; post-graduate level degree and a professional Human Resources/business certification or equivalent experience a plus

    + Experience in the construction or related industry is also a plus

    + Solid practical knowledge in several HR disciplines: onboarding/offboarding, performance management, succession planning, talent planning, competency development, compensation, associate relations, talent analytics.

    + Must be highly organized and detail oriented with a strong customer service orienation

    + Strong interpersonal/collaboration skills. Ability to establish credibility/rapport with stakeholders at all levels

    + Strategic thinker, with demonstrated experience translating strategic goals/concepts into action plans and implementing initiatives at an operational level

    + Ability to manage competing, high-priority demands; prioritizing workload, managing projects and multiple responsibilities against strict deadlines

    + Strong business, consultative and analytical skills

    + High comfort level working in a fast-paced, results-oriented culture

    + Proven track-record in owning and driving significant HR initiatives

    + Impeccable judgment and professional maturity; demonstrated ability to advise on sensitive issues.

    + Experience with an ATS and/or HRIS a plus

    + Experience with Learning Management Systems and Training a plus
