Job Overview
Fairview Health Services is hiring a Nursing Manager to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team at our M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank location in Minneapolis, MN.
The Nursing Manager manages nursing practice and patient care operations in collaboration with and accountable to the Nursing Director,
This includes: nursing practice, quality and safety, regulatory compliance, finance and other operational accountabilities.
Schedule: This position will be working 1.0 FTE (80 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 10 hours on the day shift starting at 7:30am-6pm or 7:15am-5:45pm. On call rotating weekends with cath lab leadership.
+ Manages day-to-day operations of assigned area(s) to ensure support of the mission, vision, values and goals of the organization.
+ Plans, manages, coordinates and evaluates patient care activities including staffing, resource management, quality and safety, regulatory compliance, and financial management.
+ Manages equipment inventory and supply management within operational budget.
+ Accountable for capacity management to promote patient flow.
+ Develops, implements, monitors and evaluates the quality improvement initiatives.
+ Responsible for human resources management to achieve quality service and positive employee relations.
+ Ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
+ Advocates for patient, family and staff needs.
+ Drive improvement activities that promote patient centered care and positive customer experience.
+ In partnership the Nursing Practice and Education team assure that evidence based/best practice clinical care is being delivered.
+ Ensures staff compliance in areas of job requirements, education and clinical competency.
+ Works with Nurse Director to establish goals and objectives.
+ Promotes a culture of high employee engagement, professional development, nursing education and research.
+ Partners with interprofessional team members across the continuum of care to achieve organizational outcomes.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelors Degree in Nursing
+ 3 years nursing experience, at least two of which is in a formal or informal (charge, lead, preceptor) leadership role
+ Licensed Registered Nurse. Ability to obtain Minnesota nursing license at time of hire.
+ BLS
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Cath lab experience
+ Master’s Degree in Nursing
+ ANCC or AONL Certification

Compensation Disclaimer
The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
