    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a highly skilled **Machinist Quality Inspector** to ensure that all machined parts and components meet strict quality standards. This role will involve inspecting, measuring, and testing parts throughout the production process, using precision tools and instruments to identify any discrepancies. The Machinist Quality Inspector will work closely with machinists and production teams to maintain the highest standards of quality and precision, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and industry standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + **Part Inspection** : Perform visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspections of machined parts and components using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).

    + **Blueprint and Specification Review** : Review technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand part requirements and ensure correct interpretation of engineering designs.

    + **Quality Assurance** : Monitor production processes for adherence to established quality standards. Identify and report any deviations or non-conformities in parts or materials.

    + **In-Process Inspection** : Conduct in-process inspections to ensure parts are being machined according to specifications. Provide feedback to machinists and operators to correct any issues immediately.

    + **Final Inspection** : Conduct final inspections on completed parts before they are released for shipment or further processing. Ensure all parts meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.

    + **Documentation** : Maintain detailed inspection records, including measurements, reports, and non-conformance logs. Document any defects and provide corrective action recommendations.

    + **Quality Reporting** : Generate inspection reports and work closely with the quality control team to analyze inspection data. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends and areas for improvement.

    + **Calibration and Maintenance** : Regularly calibrate and maintain precision measuring instruments and gauges to ensure accuracy. Ensure all equipment is in good working order and meets calibration standards.

    + **Collaboration with Production Team** : Work closely with machinists, engineers, and supervisors to resolve quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

    + **Training** : Assist in training new machinists and operators on quality standards and inspection processes as needed.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    + **Education** : High School diploma or equivalent. Certification in Quality Control, Manufacturing, or related field is a plus.

    + **Experience** : Minimum of [X] years of experience in machining or quality inspection, ideally within a manufacturing or machining environment.

    + **Technical Skills** : Strong knowledge of machining processes, blueprint reading, and engineering specifications. Proficient with precision measurement tools and equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMM).

    + **Attention to Detail** : High level of accuracy and attention to detail in performing inspections and recording measurements.

    + **Problem-Solving Skills** : Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.

    + **Communication Skills** : Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

    + **Computer Skills** : Proficient in using computers for data entry, report generation, and analysis. Familiarity with quality management software (e.g., SPC) is a plus.

    + **Physical Requirements** : Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to [X] lbs, and work in a manufacturing environment.

    + **Safety Awareness** : Knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment and the ability to promote a safe working culture.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other automated inspection systems.

    + Experience with statistical process control (SPC) or other quality control methods.

    + Certifications such as Six Sigma, ISO 9001, or ASQ CQI (Certified Quality Inspector).

    Working Conditions:

    + Full-time position, with potential for overtime as required.

    + Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, tools, and noise.

    + Occasional standing, bending, and lifting, with adherence to safety standards.
