    Description:

    Position Purpose

    As a Supervisor in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities department, you will play a key leadership role in supporting staff and ensuring high-quality care for individuals with intellectual disabilities. You will oversee daily operations, provide supervision and training, and foster a collaborative, person-centered environment that aligns with Pittsburgh Mercy’s mission and values.

    What You Will Do

    + **Staff Supervision & Development:** Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to direct care staff. Coordinate staffing schedules and ensure adequate coverage.

    + **Training & Compliance:** Oversee onboarding and ongoing training to ensure staff meet regulatory and organizational standards.

    + **Operational Oversight:** Manage day-to-day operations of the program, ensuring quality service delivery and adherence to policies.

    + **Relationship Building:** Foster strong relationships with individuals served families, staff, and external partners.

    + **Problem Solving & Conflict Resolution:** Address concerns and resolve conflicts in a timely, professional manner.

    + **Continuous Improvement:** Participate in quality assurance initiatives and contribute to program development and innovation.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Master’s degree in human services field **and** at least **1 year** of experience working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities **OR**

    + Bachelor’s degree in human services field **and** at least **3 years** of experience working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities

    Additional Requirements:

    + Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills

    + Experience in staff supervision and training

    + Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

    + Valid Driver’s License and access to transportation

    + Required clearances and pre-employment screenings
