    Overview

     

    GovCIO is currently hiring for a Cyber Defense Infrastructure Specialist to monitor, control, and maintain IT network services and infrastructure. This position will be located in Columbia, MD and will be an on-site position.

    Responsibilities

    Developing and implementing security procedures, policies, and controls to protect against cyber threats. Monitoring networks for suspicious activity, responding to security breaches, and performing forensic investigations. Testing, implementing, deploying, maintaining, and administering hardware and software related to cybersecurity infrastructure. Conducting regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks

     

    + Leverages technical knowledge of computer systems and networks with cyber threat information to assess the client's security posture.

    + Deep understanding of various cybersecurity frameworks.

    + Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, anti-virus software, and SIEM tools.

    + Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with various teams.

    Qualifications

    High School with 6 - 9 years (or commensurate experience)

    Required Skills and Experience

    + Clearance Required: Secret

    + 3-5 years of experience in 24/7 monitoring, controlling, and maintaining IT network services andunderlying infrastructure

    + Skilled in network operations, security maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical documentation

    + IAT Level II (or higher)

    Posted Pay Range

     

    The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

     

    Posted Salary Range

     

    USD $110,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.
