    Role Overview:

    Alameda Health System is hiring! The Vice President, Operational Transformation is responsible for leading and coordinating system-wide initiatives that drive performance improvement, operational excellence, and health equity across AHS.

     

    **DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS** : NOTE: The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by everyone in the classification.

    + Collaborates with the Chief Administrative Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Clinical Officer, Chief Operating Officer Quality Services, Medical Staff and other hospital departments to formulate, develop and execute an operational transformation strategy aligned with the system’s mission, vision, and strategic plan.

    + Lead system-wide projects related to throughput, access, care redesign, and system integration.

    + Develop, implement, manage, and coordinate tiger teams for system-wide projects.

    + Modernize operational processes using Lean Six Sigma, or high-reliability principles.

    + Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies and established hospital standards, practices and procedures.

    + Ensures compliance and optimization with FQHC requirements when applicable.

    + Monitor program performance through dashboards, KPIs, and data analytics to pinpoint gaps and provide regular reports to executive leadership.

    + Partners with medical leadership, enterprise project management office, ambulatory operations, clinical leadership, IS, and finance to ensure seamless implementation of initiatives.

    + Leader in change management and organizational transformation.

    + Investigates, evaluates and recommends problem-solving methodologies where outcomes would necessitate corrective actions.

    + Partner with public and community-based organizations to align initiatives with broader population health needs.

    + Performs other duties as required.

     

    _Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying._

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Nursing, or related field requirements.

     

    Preferred Licenses/Certifications: ANCC or other recognized National Certification in Nursing Administration, Epic experience, Project Management, or Lean Six Sigma certifications.

     

    Required Education: Master’s degree in nursing or related field required (Health Administration, Business, Public Health Management, etc.).

     

    Required Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, performance improvement, clinical integration, or strategy.

     

    Experience leading transformation efforts in a diverse healthcare system, public or safety-net preferred.

     

    Excellent communication, facilitation, and influence skills.
