    The University of Maine at Fort Kent is looking to hire Assistant Coaches. This role will assist the Head Coaches in areas of scouting, recruitment of players, scouting selected college games, and working on and reporting about player development throughout the season.

     

    The Assistant Coach will also be expected to travel with the team on the road and provide assistance to all games and practices as outlined by the Head Coach. In addition, the Assistant Coach is expected to be present at all staff meetings held by the Head Coach and/or Athletic Director.

    Additional duties include but are not limited to:

    + Game coaching as per Head Coach

    + Practice support and coaching

    + Individual off-season/in-season guard workouts

    + Assist with home and away game organization

    + Assist in preseason and summer conditioning program

    + Regional recruiting responsibility to be outlined by Head Coach

    + Recruitment of players directly and by phone

    + Responsibility for perimeter of players in practice game situations

    + Provide feedback on player development

    Required qualifications:

    + Has knowledge and background in the sport

    + Must serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through instructions and actions
