Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join a fast growing privately held company on a long-term contract basis. This position is remote. The role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee critical accounting functions in a dynamic SaaS environment while collaborating with multinational stakeholders. This role will oversee an accounting team and will be mainly responsible for managing the month end close process.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.

• Manage and oversee balance sheet reconciliations, including identifying and addressing discrepancies.

• Supervise a staff accountant, providing guidance and addressing performance challenges as needed.

• Review accounts payable processes, including complex invoicing and subscription-based billing for large corporate clients.

• Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and identify areas for improvement.

• Prepare for and facilitate audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and addressing gaps in processes.

• Support shared service accounting functions for acquired businesses, including transitioning to new ownership requirements.

• Collaborate on the migration from NetSuite to Sage Intacct, ensuring seamless integration and process optimization.

• Maintain compliance with IFRS accounting standards and other applicable regulations.

• Partner with international stakeholders to align accounting operations with global business practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in month-end close and general ledger management.

• Strong knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis.

• Expertise in financial statement audits and compliance with IFRS.

• Ability to manage and mentor staff, ensuring high performance and development.

• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills to collaborate with multinational teams and stakeholders.
