Robert Half Legal is partnering with a boutique bankruptcy law firm in the loop that's hiring a Paralegal/Legal Assistant with at least 5+ years of experience to join their team. This Paralegal/Legal Assistant will join and assist attorneys who specialize in insolvency and bankruptcy law on the debtor side. Responsibilities include the below. This position is paying between $65-80K, plus bonus and a phenomenal benefits package that includes very generous PTO and 100% medical coverage paid for by the firm.

Bankruptcy Paralegal/Legal Assistant Responsibilities:

+ Printing/PDFing Docket Items

+ Entering Time using JURIS (attorney time and invoicing)

+ Edit/finalize prebills/invoices to clients Prepare Correspondence - excellent typing skills using WORD

+ Proficient in attention to detail, spelling and grammar

+ Prepare Lists/Spreadsheets for organizational purposes

+ Using FileSite (iManage) for document storage

+ Attorney log-ins for pulling case dockets

+ Pulling case dockets

+ Converting PDF to Word for editing

+ Calendar up items/docket entries when asked

+ Print up/Organize Client files (FILESITE)

+ Correspond with client/court clerks when asked

+ Filing Prep to Prepare Notices of Motion/Filing

Requirements

+ 3-5+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, ideally in bankruptcy law

+ Proficiency in electronic filing systems for state and federal courts

+ Prior experience on the debtor side and handling Chapter 11 bankruptcy is a huge plus

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

+ Experience with Pacer, Odyssey, and BestCase software preferred
