Description
+ Lead a team of software engineers in the development, maintenance, and modernization of web applications using the latest .NET technologies.
+ Oversee the migration and support of legacy .NET Framework 4.8 solutions, ensuring smooth transitions and long-term maintainability.
+ Guide the team in writing performant, secure SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and schema designs to support application requirements.
+ Architect and review RESTful APIs for internal and external integration, promoting clean and scalable service-oriented design.
+ Mentor team members in front-end development practices using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery, while promoting adoption of modern frameworks such as React when applicable.
+ Drive discussions around UI/UX design and ensure application interfaces are intuitive, responsive, and consistent with user needs.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business goals into reliable, maintainable software solutions.
+ Champion best practices in code quality, testing, DevOps, and software design through code reviews and technical leadership.
+ Provide occasional support for legacy desktop applications written in C# and VB.NET.
Requirements
+ 5+ years of hands-on software development leadership experience with a focus on .NET technologies (C#, .NET 6+); production experience in .NET 8 or .NET 9 preferred.
+ Proven experience in leading engineering teams or mentoring developers in a senior/lead role.
+ Deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and relational database architecture.
+ Familiarity with legacy .NET Framework applications and strategies for modernization and cloud migration.
+ Strong front-end skills with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; experience with jQuery and exposure to modern frameworks like React is a plus.
+ Solid understanding of REST API design principles and secure web service development.
+ Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and technical roles.
+ Passion for continuous improvement, clean architecture, and building high-performing engineering teams.
