Description

We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful completion of projects within the healthcare domain. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring project objectives are met while adhering to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This role is based in Des Moines, Iowa, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful initiatives in the government sector!

Responsibilities:

+ Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.

+ Coordinate and lead project teams, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and executed.

+ Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving issues to keep initiatives on track.

+ Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates and status reports.

+ Manage risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.

+ Oversee vendor and supplier relationships to ensure seamless collaboration and delivery.

+ Utilize project management methodologies, such as Waterfall, to maintain consistency and efficiency.

+ Drive the planning and execution of healthcare-focused projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

+ Facilitate team meetings and virtual collaboration sessions using tools like Teams, Zoom, and Webex.

+ Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in healthcare project management.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

+ Minimum three years of experience in project management, preferably in the healthcare sector.

+ Proficiency in project management software and tools such as Atlassian Jira.

+ Strong knowledge of Waterfall methodologies and experience with Agile approaches.

+ PMP or similar certification demonstrating expertise in project management.

+ Skilled in using Office Suite, including SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Excel.

+ Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

+ Experience in healthcare consulting, delivery, or system implementations.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Certified Epic or other relevant healthcare certifications, preferred.
