Description
Charlie Gilmur with Robert Half is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Credentialing Supervisor to lead and oversee the credentialing processes for licensed and certified healthcare providers. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and payer standards while maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. Based in Hood River, Oregon, this position offers an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the success of a mission-driven organization.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all credentialing and recredentialing activities for healthcare providers across medical, dental, and behavioral health disciplines.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of credentialing applications to licensing boards, insurance payers, and credentialing verification organizations (CVOs).
• Develop, implement, and maintain credentialing policies and procedures aligned with state and federal regulations.
• Monitor provider licenses, certifications, and other credentials to ensure timely renewals and compliance.
• Supervise and mentor credentialing staff, fostering a high-performing and efficient team.
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal departments and external credentialing bodies regarding credentialing issues.
• Conduct regular audits of provider files to ensure compliance with organizational and payer standards.
• Prepare and present credentialing reports for leadership and governing boards as needed.
• Support provider onboarding processes, including credentialing and privileging requirements.
• Participate in audits and site visits to ensure adherence to credentialing compliance standards.

Requirements • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare credentialing, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Proficiency in credentialing processes and familiarity with credentialing databases.
• Strong understanding of compliance requirements for licensing, accreditation, and payer standards.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external organizations.
• Experience in a community health center or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to conduct thorough audits and maintain accurate records.
