    Unity House is seeking a positive, proactive, and experienced clinical leader to serve as the Assistant Clinical Director of our comprehensive Behavioral Health Services program. This position oversees and supports the daily operations of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team, Critical Time Intervention (CTI) Teams, Mental Health Outpatient Treatment and Rehabilitation Services Clinic (MHOTRS), and various other Clinical programs.

     

    We’re looking for a highly organized and mission-driven manager who brings excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have experience managing multidisciplinary teams and providing high-quality, trauma-informed, person-centered services to individuals with serious mental illness and complex needs.

    Responsibilities:

    + Provide clinical and administrative oversight of the ACT Team, CTI Teams, MHOTRS Clinic, and clinical programs.

    + Ensure all programs meet standards set by the NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH), Medicaid, and agency policy.

    + Supervise program managers, team leaders, and clinical staff to maintain consistent, high-quality service delivery.

    + Oversee service integration and promote best practices in recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and person-centered care.

    + Review and monitor utilization, service delivery, documentation, and billing practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.

    + Provide direct support, supervision, and consultation to program leadership and clinical teams.

    + Facilitate team meetings, trainings, and performance reviews to ensure ongoing staff development.

    + Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth within all programs.

    + Lead internal audits, quality assurance initiatives, and corrective action plans as needed.

    + Monitor outcome data and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance client experience and recovery outcomes.

    + Participate in agency leadership meetings and help shape strategic planning across behavioral health programs.

    + Serve as a liaison to community partners, state agencies, and stakeholders.

    + Represent the agency in collaborative meetings, regional workgroups, and compliance reviews.

    + Promote a culture of inclusion and belonging

    Requirements:

    + Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC strongly preferred).

    + Minimum of five (5) years of relevant supervisory and or administrative experience in behavioral health settings.

    + Demonstrated experience working with individuals with serious mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and high service needs.

    + Strong understanding of OMH regulations, Medicaid billing, and documentation standards.

    + Proven leadership skills with ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and multiple program areas.

    + Valid NYS driver’s license and acceptable driving record; reliable transportation.

    + Ability to respond to emergencies and support staff after-hours when needed.
