    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum guidelines and accommodate students' language proficiency levels.

    + Teach academic subjects, such as math and science, in a second language.

    + Assess students' academic and language development progress through formal and informal evaluations.

    + Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.

    + Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and other required documentation.

    + Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.

    Job Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS:

    + Must possess or be eligible for New York State Elementary Certification with a Bilingual Extension
