    Job Title: Quality TechnicianJob Description

     

    We are seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to ensure product conformance and process capability through meticulous mechanical and electrical testing, inspection, and verification for new and existing products, raw materials, warranty returns, and calibration.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct mechanical and electrical testing and inspection/verification to defined specifications for new and existing products, raw material, warranty returns, and calibration.

    + Compile and provide test reports with recommendations for improvement.

    + Participate in simple test fixture construction for material, product, or process analysis.

    + Perform audits on piece parts, sub-assemblies, or completed products for conformance to engineering drawings or established quality standards.

    + Engage in activities within AS9100, ISO, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies to prevent problems and identify corrective actions.

    + Maintain routine data collection, entry, or reporting to ensure product conformance, process capability, or equipment calibration.

    + Set up and operate a variety of mechanical or electronic measuring equipment, providing support for special processes.

    + Make daily decisions concerning product conformance and process capabilities.

    + Utilize knowledge of blueprint reading and inspection techniques.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in quality control and inspection techniques.

    + Ability to read blueprints and perform quality inspections using tools such as calipers and micrometers.

    + Experience in conducting audits and implementing root cause analysis and corrective action plans.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Preferred Associate degree and/or ASQ certified quality technician.

    + High school diploma or equivalent required.

    + 2+ years of relevant quality experience in inspection techniques and blueprint reading.

    Work Environment

    The role involves working in a dynamic environment with a focus on quality assurance and process improvement. The technician will utilize mechanical and electronic measuring equipment and participate in AS9100, ISO, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies. The position requires daily engagement with product conformance and process capability, ensuring adherence to established quality standards.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
