    Program Manager IT

    Job Description

    The main function of the IT Program Manager is to plan, direct, and coordinate activities in areas such as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming.

    Responsibilities

    + Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activity.

    + Manage backup security and user help system.

    + Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.

    + Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.

    + Provide users with technical support for computer problems.

    + Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff or participate in staffing decisions.

    + Evaluate data processing proposals to assess project feasibility and requirements.

    Essential Skills

    + Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to work independently and manage one's time.

    + Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software.

    + Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

    + Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.

    + Knowledge of computer software such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field required.

    + MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.

    + PMI or PMP certification preferred.

    + 5-10 years of demonstrated project management experience required.

    + Experience in a large IT company or similar environment.

    + Expertise in Microsoft Project, Azure Dev Ops, Mainframe, Disaster Recovery, PMI, Waterfall, Agile.

    + Nice to have: PM Tools (e.g., MSP), Azure Dev Ops, Infrastructure Experience (Servers, Storage, Mainframe, Backup, Disaster Recovery), PMI exposure, moving into a more agile direction.

    Work Environment

    This position is 100% onsite in building AD in East the person. The work environment includes working with various technologies and equipment, adhering to the company's standards and guidelines.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
