We are seeking Jr-Mid Level Distribution Designers/Engineers for utility scale projects focused on distribution in the Orlando office. This role involves supporting projects such as transformer replacements and retrofits. This is an open-ended contract position with appropriate benefits provided.
Responsibilities
+ Support utility scale distribution projects, including transformer replacements and retrofits.
+ Collaborate with the Distribution Team to execute tasks effectively.
+ Utilize proprietary software such as Maximo and BOUD for project execution.
+ Design and draft electrical distribution plans using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
+ Assist in reconductoring and transformer retrofit projects.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of distribution design experience.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD.
+ Understanding of the power grid.
+ Strong communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge of electrical engineering and drafting.
+ Familiarity with civil and mechanical aspects of utility design.
+ Experience with Maximo software.
+ Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Work Environment
The Orlando office is a large engineering hub with multiple disciplines, including Architecture & Engineering, Electrical & Engineering, and Power. The direct power team consists of 10-12 members. The office is located in a beautiful building downtown across from Lake Eola, offering convenient parking and numerous dining and entertainment options within walking distance. The company offers plenty of growth opportunities and hybrid flexibility can be earned.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
