    Job Description

    As a General Laborer, you will be responsible for handling bags of product ranging from 1 to 100 pounds, depending on the specific role. You will be involved in various tasks such as reading ingredients, counting bags on pallets, placing scoops and lids on containers, stacking and sealing bags/cans, bagging products, and dumping bags into equipment on production lines.

    Responsibilities

    + Read ingredients and count bags on pallets.

    + Place scoops in cans/jars/buckets and secure lids.

    + Stack bags/cans of product from production lines.

    + Seal bags/cans from production lines.

    + Bag product from production lines.

    + Dump bags of product into appropriate equipment.

    Essential Skills

    + General production experience.

    + Ability to lift bags weighing up to 100 pounds.

    + Experience in bagging and quality control.

    + Competence in general labor and assembly.

    + Proficiency in packaging and hand tools.

    + Experience in machine operation, picking, and loading.

    + Knowledge of power tools and machine operating.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in a food production facility.

    + Ability to work with floating food particles in the air.

    + Comfortable wearing safety PPE.

    Work Environment

     

    The role is based in a food production facility where food particles may be present in the air. Safety PPE is mandatory to ensure a safe working environment. Shifts vary from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, offering flexibility in working hours.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Crosse, Wisconsin.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.36 - $22.41/hr.
