Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician performs efficient and effective maintenance activities to maximize safe production of quality products while minimizing cost and protecting the environment. This role requires sustaining knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for equipment maintenance, including rebuilding large gearboxes, aligning pumps, and other rotary equipment rebuilds. Welding tasks are involved, excluding code welding. The technician will troubleshoot, fabricate, install, repair, calibrate, check, and adjust equipment, controls, and facilities parts to maintain the highest level of utilization. Collaboration with Electrical and Instrument Technicians and Operating Technicians is essential to assist team members in completing tasks outside typical responsibilities.
Responsibilities
+ Rebuild large gearboxes, align pumps, and perform rotary equipment rebuilds.
+ Troubleshoot, fabricate, install, repair, calibrate, check, and adjust equipment and controls.
+ Assist in maintaining parts inventory.
+ Support site safety and security, and assist in planning work with operations, contractors, and plant personnel.
+ Work closely with Electrical and Instrument Technicians and Operating Technicians.
+ Communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels in a professional and respectful manner.
+ Understand and troubleshoot low voltage electrical systems, 480V and below.
+ Unwire and rewire equipment for maintenance and perform basic instrument troubleshooting.

+ True Industrial Maintenance Technician experience.

Work Environment
The work environment is within an industrial manufacturing plant with machines, conveyors, and more. The shift follows a 2,2,3 schedule, starting with day training from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, for 1-2 months, then transitioning to night shifts from 7pm to 7am. There is potential for 8-36 hours of overtime per month. The plant processes raw materials through shredding, refining with chemical baths, repulping, and transporting to the Thermoforming department via piping. Equipment used includes screw presses, blend tanks, agitators, conveyors, servo motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and refiners.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vonore, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $34.00/hr.
