Job Details A Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer plays a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. This position involves designing, developing, and optimizing BI solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the integrity and accessibility of data. Key Responsibilities: Data Analysis and Interpretation: Conduct in-depth analyses to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategies BI Solution Development: Design and maintain scalable BI solutions, including dashboards and reports, to support data-driven decision-making. Data Modeling and ETL Processes: Develop and optimize data models and ETL pipelines to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading for reports, dashboards and interactive data visualizations. Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across departments to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specification in order to create interactive dashboards, reports and visualizations. Data Governance: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across all BI platforms. Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior BI team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Testing: Perform unit testing and validate expected results Innovation: Qualifications: Educational Background: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field. Experience: Proven experience in BI development, data analysis, and data modeling, with a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts. Extensive knowledge of industry best practices and trends in order to develop outcome driven dashboards. Technical Skills: 10+ years of experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms. Develops and maintains SQL queries and stored procedures to drive data and dashboards Familiarity with ETL tools and processes. Epic clarity and/or caboodle data model certified Experience working and integrating multiple data sources into one dashboard, such as Epic, Strata and Lawson Experience creating SSIS packages Tableau desktop and tableau author/analyst certified Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud platforms and big data technologies. Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their application in BI. Knowledge of programming languages like Python or R is advantageous. Understanding of data governance and compliance standards. Experience with Microsoft co-Pilot and/or Tableau Agent Experience with Tableau Pulse This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact the organization's strategic direction by leveraging data to drive business success. Salary Range USD $125,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
