At JBT Marel, we are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to oversee both the strategic and daily operations of the supply chain, including procurement, trade compliance, and inventory management. You will develop purchasing strategies to optimize supply chain performance and lead the department to ensure goals and requirements are met. You will report to the General Manager. This position is located within Kingston, NY. Must live within a commutable distance to the facility. Onsite position with flexibility to work from home 2 days per week once fully oriented and performing in the role. Responsibilities: Lead both the strategic and operational execution of the supply chain, with a focus on implementing and managing the SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) process. Provide direction to all department team members on supply chain requirements, including inventory management (such as Kanban systems), pricing strategies, blanket purchase agreements, trade compliance, shipping, receiving, handling of obsolete inventory, and supplier relationships. Support departments in the creation and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure understanding and consistency across teams. Monitor and evaluate on-time delivery metrics for both incoming and outgoing shipments; implement programs to improve performance. Oversee supplier performance and cultivate collaborative relationships with vendors. Be a necessary liaison among Engineering, Sourcing, Quality, Sales, and Manufacturing to improve inventory turnover and lead cost reduction efforts. Manage annual physical inventory counts and establish an cycle counting program. Develop annual supply chain budgets and related strategic plans. Champion continuous improvement efforts and foster a collaborative, team-oriented work environment. Design and implement development plans for supply chain team members. Ensure compliance with and enforcement of company policies. The estimated annual salary range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000 annually. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Supply Chain Manager within purchasing and warehouse environments Experience applying continuous improvement methodologies within the supply chain. In-depth knowledge of supply chain functions, systems, and strategic practices.. Experience analyzing our performance using ERP system data. Experience in Lean methodology, Kanban, and continuous improvement activities. Experience managing and qualifying performance of domestic and global suppliers Strong presentation and reporting skills Data driven and able to report results to Sr. Leadership Team Travel up to 10%, including attendance at trainings, supplier visits, and Kaizen events.
