    About the role:

    This role is constantly leading multiple priorities across processing on a shift. The role requires quick decision making capabilities that will have impact to schedule adherence, safety and quality. The role is directly responsible for the overall performance of a specific part/area on a shift. This role will have supervisory responsibilities for up to 12 people on crew.

    Purpose of Role:

    Responsible for running the day to day production requirements across the processing area, including daily processing planning, safety, quality, coordinating staffing assignments, safety activities and departmental budget activities. Provide relevant training and development opportunities for the continued growth of the employee and team as a whole. Provide business leadership to ensure that team meets or exceeds Supply Excellence critical metrics. Drive continuous improvement and total employee engagement in critical success areas by empowering employees to use Supply Excellence tools and techniques. Optimize efficiencies and reduce labor costs as well as improving through puts while minimizing labor use

    Role Responsibilities** **:

    + Supervisory responsibilities are in accordance with company policy and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but not limited to training employees, batch and labor planning, appraising performance, rewarding, focusing, and motivating employees; addressing complaints, resolving conflict, solving problems, scheduling vacations, and verifying payroll sheets.

    + Ensure efficient production is achieved and standards are met. Optimize safety, quality, production, and cost objectives through employee involvement and team building approach to root cause problem solving and continuous improvement

    + Direct the planning and implementation of key business initiatives to support the department. This includes GMP/ ISO / FSSC / CARM Compliance/ MMS. Is an ambassador for safety, compliance and quality.

    + Ensure production databases are properly maintained and information used for continuous improvement and planning purposes.

    + Support all safety and food safety audits. Will be responsible for investigating and instituting all corrective and preventative action items. Processing team should have a clear understanding of the goals.

    + Generate ideas and implement changes in processes and use of equipment to increase efficiency, improve safety and quality, reduce costs, and improve employee morale.

    + Seeks, shares and adopts ideas and standard methodologies inside and outside the company as well as embracing change that is introduced cross functionally.

    + Builds and maintains relationships that motivate, guide, and/or reinforce the breakthrough performance of others toward goal accomplishments. Develops self and others to improve performance in current role and to prepare for future roles; seeks and provides feedback and coaching to enhance performance

    Experience** **/ skills** **required:

    + 4 year Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Preferably in Business, Management/ Engineering/ Food Science or Food Engineering background

    + 3+ years of supervisory experience in CPG company with experience in processing/ warehouse departments, highly regulated best in class industry or an equivalent of experience including education.

    + Proven ability to provide leadership, direct change and build trust and credibility amongst peers and direct reports

    + Knowledge of TTB and State regulations pertaining to the production of alcohol beverages is a plus
