    Job Description

    Costing Accounting and Business Analyst

     

    Teledyne Technologies Incorporated employs approximately 15,000 people across 36 countries and provides enabling technologies for industrial growth markets that require advanced technology and high reliability.

     

    Our Teledyne ETM facility is part of the Digital Imaging Segment. It is based in California and Colorado and is a specialist in the provision of standard and tailored power subsystems, across a range of business applications and markets.

     

    The Finance team at ETM covers the full range of accounting disciplines, alongside our shared services teams. We focus on providing a high quality, professional and efficient service to both our internal and external customers, based in the USA and across the world.

     

    Please note that for this position, experience in a manufacturing environment and of inventory management is required.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Provision of regular periodic accounting, reporting and forecasting processes, with a specific focus on project and cost accounting and revenue recognition;

    + Provision of business analysis for any financial/commercial decision relating to the business, including sales and product analysis and support for the business quoting process;

    + Provision of budgeting and planning support across business departments;

    + Provision of training, advice and support to relevant managers;

    + Ensuring the business operates within the financial controls and procedures set by the Teledyne Group;

    + Other tasks can be assigned based on business needs

    Competencies:

    + Accurate with good attention to detail.

    + Able to work autonomously and as part of integrated teams

    + Good interpersonal and communication skills

    + Be able to work within a fast paced, everchanging business

    + Experience of working within a deadline structured delivery environment

    + Have excellent IT skills, especially within Excel spreadsheet development and manipulation

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent

    + Five years' general accounting experience desired, Cost Accounting experience a plus

    + Knowledge of General Accounting Principles

    + Experience of a manufacturing environment and of inventory management required

    + Experience with an ERP or MRP System a plus. Oracle and/ or SAP knowledge a plus.

    + Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce

    Salary Range:

    $77,000.00-$102,600.000

    The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
