UMB’s Corporate Legal department serves many lines of business throughout our footprint by providing legal education, counsel and advice.  They facilitate the needs of their clients (UMB Financial Corporation, its subsidiaries and its shareholders) through subject matter expertise, as well as relationships with outside counsel, where necessary.

The Paralegal’s role is to support our legal department, specifically our Corporate Attorneys, by preparing documents such as affidavits and legal correspondence and they will help to organize and maintain those documents and files on a regular basis. The Paralegal serves as the liaison between our attorneys, our various lines of businesses and outside legal counsel.

_How you’ll spend your time:_

+ Providing clear and concise communication as well as strong interpersonal skills to build trust and deepen relationships with our internal clients.

+ Utilizing your strong problem solving and analytical skills to provide effective support.

+ Effectively and efficiently navigating Microsoft Word to draft important documents for our attorneys and lines of business.

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ 4-6 years of legal experience

_Bonus Points if you have:_

+ Paralegal certification or associate's degree

+ Experience with a law firm or with in-house counsel with a financial institution

Compensation Range:

$51,480.00 - $99,330.00
