    Description

    ARS is seeking a talented Software Developer to join our team supporting critical Air Force simulation and modeling initiatives. This role focuses on developing and enhancing SysMLv2-based tools and integration capabilities for military simulation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and a strong foundation in software development, particularly in C++ or Go. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge simulation technologies that directly support Air Force mission capabilities.

    Responsibilities include:

    + Support the enrichment of SysMLv2 models with data and schemas required for integration with MS&A frameworks including AFSIM and Coliseum simulation environments

    + Design and develop SysMLv2-based export tools that enable seamless data translation from SysMLv2 models into Air Force simulation frameworks such as AFSIM and Coliseum

    + Collaborate on enriching SysMLv2 models with data structures and interfaces needed to support integration with additional Air Force frameworks and systems

    + Create and maintain technical documentation for developed tools, integration processes, and model specifications

    + Work closely with systems engineers, simulation specialists, and other developers to ensure seamless integration across multiple platforms

    + Implement testing protocols and validation procedures for developed tools and integrations

    + Other duties as assigned

    Required:

    + Must be a US citizen

    + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field

    + 2-5 years of software development experience

    + Proficiency in C++ programming language

    + Experience with model-based development or data modeling concepts

    + Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices

    + Experience with version control systems

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Desired:

    + Experience with SysMLv2 format and modeling standards

    + Knowledge of AFSIM or Coliseum simulation frameworks

    + Go programming language experience

    + Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) background

    + Experience with simulation and modeling tools

    + Understanding of military or aerospace systems

    + Cybersecurity knowledge and awareness

    + Experience with data transformation and ETL processes

    + Familiarity with XML/JSON data formats and parsing

    + Sec+ desired but not required
