JOB SUMMARY:
The Monarch Residential Education Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efforts and oversight of the educational programming within residential services as well as the operational oversight and management of clinical, educational and behavioral services within the program. The Education Coordinator provides daily support, indirect supervision, crisis management, resource development, and related guidance to stakeholders within the Monarch Residential Education Program. The Educational Coordinator is charged with supporting the educational development, programming, and interdepartmental collaboration with members of the school and the Monarch Boarding Academies. Further, the Education Coordinator is indirectly responsible for building and retaining an exceptional staff that are equipped with the expertise and resources necessary to deliver services that are firmly rooted in the methods and philosophy of the Monarch Model and applied behavior analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
+ Provide necessary guidance as well as direct operational and educational support to the Intervention Specialists, Instructional Assistants, and other stakeholders within Monarch Residential Education.
+ Responsible for implementing and supporting teams in providing appropriate educational plans for each student.
+ Support the creation, development, and implementation of individual student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP).
+ Support teams in developing lesson plans and identifying appropriate curriculums for small groups and/or individual instruction based on current diagnostic evaluations, keeping in mind the student’s strengths and weaknesses and using appropriate learning and teaching modalities in carrying out instructions.
+ Organize and lead necessary interdisciplinary meetings, IEP meetings, which may include school district, parents and other invited agencies.
+ Review and keep IEP and related data collection documentation up to date.
+ Ensure congruence between the educational plans and accompanying interventions at Monarch School with the treatment goals and interventions established by the clinical team at Monarch Boarding Academy.
+ Identify problems and provide immediate and impactful solutions for granular needs of all stakeholders (employees, students and families) within the Monarch Residential Education program.
+ Respond to the wide variety of crisis situations within the residential education program environment. Where appropriate, provide in the moment modeling, instruction and ongoing training which represents a high degree of clinical integrity and crisis management skills.
+ Participate and aide in the development of ongoing trainings, initial employee on-boarding activities, and other personnel development initiatives as outlined by the Monarch School Assistant Director.
+ Collaborate and work directly with members of the Monarch Boarding Academy team to ensure comprehensive, collaborative, and clinically sound case coordination.
+ Attend and participate in clinical rounds for individuals receiving comprehensive treatment planning and programming within the Monarch Boarding Academy.
+ Provide modeling, feedback and guidance to staff within the program on facets of behavior plans, educational goals and related treatment planning goals that are in consistent alignment with the programming within the boarding academies.
+ In conjunction with the Monarch School Assistant Director and Monarch Residential Program Manager, provide indirect assistance and oversight of daily operations activities including staff attendance, schedules, data collection, documentation and other program needs.
+ As necessary, utilize Safety Care procedures, including at a minimum, make use of the necessary Two-Person Stability Hold.
OTHER DUTIES:
+ Participate in professional growth activities including training sessions and workshops during the school year that are provided as part of the staff development program.
+ Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training.
+ All required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
+ Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
+ Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment. All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
+ Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
+ Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
+ Licensure: Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist Licensure required.

+ Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate competence in utilizing Agency computer systems and software as required to perform essential job functions.
+ Leadership: Proven effective leadership skills to ensure departmental engagement and success.
+ Pass Safety Care Core Curriculum by passing the written exam, attending the full duration of training, participating and passing the required role plays, and demonstrating the full competencies up to and including the Two-Person Stability Hold required.
+ Ability to handle stressful situations by remaining calm and professional while working with students and staff.
+ Must have regular and predictable attendance.
+ Proficiency in crisis management and active problem-solving when prompt decision-making and action are necessary.
