Description We are looking for a dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in El Paso, Texas. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an opportunity to assist in maintaining compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and investor guidelines through thorough audits and evaluations. The role involves collaborating with senior management and contributing staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency in processes.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct weekly reviews of in-processing and denied loans to ensure compliance and identify discrepancies.
• Perform monthly loan origination post-closing reviews and loan servicing evaluations.
• Assist with quarterly servicing reviews and prepare detailed reports for management.
• Compile and analyze pertinent data to evaluate loan viability, identify risks, and ensure guideline adherence.
• Review denied loans for compliance with regulatory laws, such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA).
• Attend meetings with department managers to discuss exceptions and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain procedure manuals and assist with drafting written procedures for quality control tasks.
• Monitor social media platforms for loan officers, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook, for compliance purposes.
• Perform data entry and corrections in both the origination system and proprietary software.
• Support the Quality Control Analyst with additional quality control duties and assignments as required. Requirements • High school diploma with some college coursework preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively to top management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access Database.
• Familiarity with Portable Document Format (PDF) and data analysis tools.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical journals and legal documents.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work across various systems.
• Knowledge of mortgage regulatory laws and guidelines.
• Strong organizational and negotiation skills, with attention to detail in reading and numerical data. TalentMatch®
