    Description

    Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with 2–3 years of experience for an exciting contract opportunity. In this role, you'll collaborate with finance teams to maintain accurate financial records, support month-end processes, and provide critical assistance in day-to-day accounting operations.     Key Responsibilities:

    + Prepare and post journal entries to ensure timely and accurate month-end close.

    + Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts, including bank statements and subsidiary ledgers.

    + Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other management reports.

    + Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions.

    + Support fixed asset accounting, including depreciation schedules and tracking.

    + Help ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable regulations.

    + Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial data to support decision-making.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional departments for accurate and complete financial reporting.

    + Perform ad hoc tasks and projects as needed by the finance leadership team.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

    + 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or mid-sized business setting.

    + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

    + Strong understanding of GAAP principles and accounting best practices.

    + Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

    + Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

    + Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
