Farnsworth Group is seeking a Civil or Mechanical Engineering Telecom Co-Op in one of our below posting locations for January - August 2026. In this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers on energy and utility projects.

Posting Locations for this role: St. Louis, MO; Lisle, IL; Frisco, TX

Job Activities:

+ Conceptual through final design and record drawings of utility lines and related facilities

+ Field visits to collect data and evaluate existing, pre-design conditions

+ Construction documents and administration

+ Cost estimating

+ Material specifications

+ General project and office support

Specific Requirements include:

+ Pursuing a BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum

+ Willing to work full-time during the spring semester and summer from January - August 2026

+ Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project

+ Excellent Communication skills

+ Must be willing to travel and have a valid driver’s license

+ MicroStation or AutoCAD experience or exposure is preferred, but not required

Salary Range: $19/hr - $20/hr (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
