    The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) is a strategic and forward-thinking leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources within the hospital. This includes critical areas such as talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, training, compensation, and organizational development. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the CHRO is an integral member of the senior leadership team, pivotal in shaping the hospital’s workplace culture and ensuring that HR strategies align with the organization's broader objectives. The CHRO is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategies that support the organization's overall business plan and strategic direction. In this capacity, the CHRO provides strategic leadership by effectively articulating HR needs and initiatives to the senior team and the board of directors, ensuring the human resources department contributes to the organization's success and sustainability.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + **Strategic Leadership & Advisory:** Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational goals while serving as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leadership on HR compliance, employment law, and succession planning.

    + **Culture & Talent Management:** Foster a positive workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives, diversity and inclusion programs, comprehensive training and development, and career advancement opportunities.

    + **Compensation & Benefits:** Design and implement competitive compensation structures and benefits programs to attract and retain diverse talent, partnering with external representatives to align offerings with organizational needs.

    + **Compliance & Analytics:** Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, maintain current HR policies, and leverage HR analytics to drive data-informed decision-making and measure workforce strategy success.

    Qualifications:

    + **Experience & Education:** Minimum 15 years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years executive HR leadership and 5+ years of healthcare HR experience. Master’s degree required. Experience in rural or community healthcare is a plus.

    + **Certifications:** SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP certification preferred; rural/community healthcare experience a plus

    + **Core Competencies:** Strong knowledge of healthcare HR regulations, compliance standards, and HR technology platforms

    + **Leadership Skills:** Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities with a proven track record in change management, strategic planning, and building positive relationships across all organizational levels
