    Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager

    Job Description

    We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support aftermarket engine and turbocharger programs. This hybrid role between supply chain and engineering requires a technically inclined, proactive individual who can source complex engine components, validate parts, and build strong supplier relationships. The position plays a critical role in cost savings, supplier qualification, and part validation, collaborating closely with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Scheduling teams.

    Responsibilities

    + Source complex engine components and validate parts.

    + Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.

    + Support cost savings initiatives through strategic sourcing.

    + Prepare and submit RFQs and negotiate supplier contracts.

    + Ensure supplier qualification and compliance through audits.

    + Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Scheduling teams for part validation.

    + Manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously.

    + Prioritize urgent and production-critical parts, including ISIR coordination.

    + Travel to supplier sites for audits, relationship building, and capability assessments.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum 5 years in supply chain, with a focus on sourcing and supplier management.

    + Proficiency in supply chain, purchasing, supplier negotiation, and contract negotiation.

    + Technical aptitude with familiarity in engine components and large, complex BOMs.

    + Experience in supplier qualification and auditing, both domestic and international.

    + Skilled in negotiating based on volume, price, quality, delivery, and service.

    + Ability to contribute to cost modeling and standard cost development.

    + Strong project management skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Strong oral and written communication skills.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

    + Ability to build and maintain supplier databases and RFQ tracking tools.

    + ,self-motivated, and able to work independently.

    + Continuous learner who stays current through trade shows, publications, and seminars.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is fast-paced and project-driven with flat peak periods, focused on aftermarket sourcing for engines and turbos. There is heavy collaboration with Engineering, QA, and Scheduling teams, with an emphasis on cost savings, supplier performance, and part validation. The role reports directly to the Director of Supply Chain, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on sourcing strategy and supplier performance.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
