Job Title: FPGA Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Firmware Engineer to join our team in support of cutting-edge ISR sensors for airborne missions. This individual will play a critical role in transitioning from prototype development to the manufacturing of sensors intended for deployment.
Responsibilities
+ Implement algorithms and interfaces in FPGAs under guidance from staff.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and specifications related to assigned tasks.
+ Create and maintain design documentation and test plans.
+ Engage in tasks related to RF systems for airborne applications, with potential involvement in other applications as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in FPGA and SoC design entry using Verilog or VHDL with 7+ years of experience.
+ Experience with design flow for Xilinx and/or Intel FPGAs.
+ Familiarity with simulation tools such as ModelSim/Questa, VCS, or Incisive.
+ Demonstrated experience in delivering advanced development hardware.
+ Experience in preparing and delivering briefings, and familiarity with technical reviews such as SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TIMS.
+ Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Understanding of and experience with RF systems and their principles of design, development, and verification.
+ Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
+ Demonstrated experience in radar systems, electronic warfare, microwave engineering, analog and digital signal processing, embedded software development, and physics modeling and simulation.
+ Experience with Matlab, Python, or C/C++.
+ Experience interfacing with high-speed DACs and ADCs.
+ Experience with Digital Signal Processing.
Work Environment
This position is based in Woburn, MA, Dayton, OH, Arlington, VA, or Melbourne, FL. It offers a hybrid work environment requiring occasional commuting to the office for program responsibilities. The role involves collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and participation in design, development, and test activities. It demands strong interpersonal, communication, and technical skills, and the ability to work independently.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $90.00/hr.
