    Job Title: Aerospace Engineering Technician - East Hartford, CT

    Job Description

    This role provides technical and administrative support to the NDE engineering team, facilitating the processing and delivery of inspection tools, analyzing NDE data, and tracking inspector assignments and progress. The position coordinates inspection assignments, tracks inspector results, requests quotes from vendors, monitors progress according to schedule requirements, and verifies that requirements are met upon delivery. Our R&D Lab aims to create a universal inspection method for all Aerospace parts by perfecting non-destructive evaluations like Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, and Borescope Techniques.

    Responsibilities

    + Coordinate inspection assignments and track progress of inspector results.

    + Request quotes from vendors and verify requirements upon delivery.

    + Perform technical and inventory activities under the direction of NDE Engineers to support commercial and military engines.

    + Prepare parts for fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI), clean parts post inspection, package parts, and prepare inspection documentation.

    + Train and audit NDT systems, establish NDT and general quality systems, and apply NDT methods.

    + Work independently and communicate effectively with all levels of management, internal and external customers.

    + Utilize root cause and process control tools.

    + Use SAP and Microsoft suite for various tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + Associate Degree or 1+ year as Technician in Manufacturing Setting.

    + Proficiency in Excel.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Excellent organizational skills.

    + Experience with training and auditing NDT systems.

    + Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing operations.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in lab settings through school or internships.

    + Scientific theory experience from school or internships.

    + Experience with database management, CNC machining, and R&D lab environments.

    + Experience as a Production Technician or Machinist.

    + Knowledge of Eddy current and Ultrasonic testing.

    + Advanced degree or a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

    + NDE, measurement/instrumentation, design, and report writing skills.

    + Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in production and overhaul environments.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
