Job Title: Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $125000 - $150000 annually

Contractor Work Model: On-Site

Hours: Monday-Friday (8-5) some evenings and weekends may be required as needed

System One has partnered with a global manufacturing company seeking to add a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to their IT Security team. This individual will need to posses well-rounded technical skills, have an architect mindset, and have at least 8 years of experience in performing cybersecurity engineering or network engineering at an enterprise level. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity offering full benefits and possibility for remote work.

Successful candidates must be able to provide proof of ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. This position is not open to corp-to-corp, subcontractor or independent consulting arrangements.

Responsibilities:

+ Supports IT, Governance, Application and Security teams in designing, developing, and documenting technologies to meet their objectives.

+ Acts as the technical lead for Firewall lifecycle management and other security tooling.

+ Provides support to the cyber tool administration team, serving as a mentor and point of escalation for issue resolution.

+ Drives continuous improvement by understanding, documenting, and suggesting enhancements to processes involving security toolsets.

+ Advocates for the implementation and configuration of best practices for cybersecurity capabilities to ensure their efficiency and effectiveness.

+ Recommends new or alternative technologies as appropriate to better support company objectives.

+ Communicates complex technical information effectively to all levels of personnel, from front-line workers to executive leadership.

+ Recommends process and program improvements and leads implementation.

+ Mentors other team members and resolves the most complex problems.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelors in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field

+ At least 5 years of experience in cyber security

+ At least 3 years of networking experience supporting firewalls, Linux/Windows systems

+ Knowledge and experience working with Palo Alto, Routing, SIEM, Identity and Access Management concepts, Cloud provider experience

+ Strong networking background with core routing and switching topologies/configuration and troubleshooting

+ Hands on experience with cloud-based infrastructure, deployment models, and security technologies.

+ Understanding of application/network layer protocols such as HTTPS, SFTP, and SSH.

+ Relevant skills or certifications from major security vendors.

+ Experience with Windows and Linux/Unix environments.

+ Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

+ Experience with common security tools SIEM, EDR, IAM, Vulnerability Scanner, etc.

+ Experience with common ticketing systems, physical and virtual infrastructure tools
