    Job Title: System Administrator/Desktop Support

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled and security-cleared System Administrator to join a dedicated team at Vandenberg Space Force Base. This long-term, onsite role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in Linux and Windows administration, software deployment, and virtual infrastructure support. The ideal candidate thrives in small to medium-sized teams and is comfortable working in a high-security, mission-critical environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Monitor and report system discrepancies and irregularities.

    + Unlock and manage user accounts in accordance with security protocols.

    + Deploy software packages and patches across systems.

    + Maintain baseline configurations for systems and manage virtual infrastructure (VMware, Site Recovery Manager).

    + Administer Active Directory, LDAP, and security tools such as LogRhythm.

    + Assist with PKI/certificate management and antivirus tools (e.g., Symantec).

    + Utilize monitoring and management tools (e.g., Tripwire, NNMi, OBM, OneView).

    + Collaborate with a team of 4 System Administrators and 1 Site Lead.

    + Document processes, incidents, and resolutions for knowledge sharing.

    Essential Skills

    + Linux (RHEL) and Windows administration

    + VMware administration / Site Recovery Manager

    + Active Directory / LDAP

    + LogRhythm (SIEM)

    + Software deployment and patching

    + Virtual machine management

    + HPE Hardware

    + STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) - Nice to have

    + SATCOM experience - Nice to have

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
