Job Title: Distribution Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Distribution Engineer with over 5 years of experience in Centerpoint projects located in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of DDS software, and have expertise in pole relocation and replacement projects.
Responsibilities
+ Design and implement power delivery systems using AutoCAD and DDS software.
+ Conduct pole relocations, pole replacements, and ensure compliance with standards and DOT requirements.
+ Perform reconductoring and manage unit counts effectively.
+ Provide quality assurance and quality control for work completed by junior designers and engineers.
+ Support specific Centerpoint projects with precision and expertise.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of experience in distribution engineering or design engineering.
+ 3+ years of experience with AutoCAD.
+ 3+ years of specific experience supporting Centerpoint projects.
+ Proficiency in Distribution Design Studio (DDS) and related engineering software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in pole relocation and replacement.
+ Strong experience in power distribution and utilities.
Work Environment
The position is based in an office environment with standard hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. The opportunity provides a growing team atmosphere, involvement in large utility projects, potential for advancement into leadership roles, and benefits such as PTO and holidays.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
