    Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler, where you will be responsible for assembling subcomponents and general assembly of large window units. You will utilize hand and power tools to add fasteners and hardware, perform caulking, and ensure precision in your work with large glass and sheet metal pieces.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble window units by adding metal brackets and using hand and power tools.

    + Perform testing on caulking products to ensure proper sealing of windows.

    + Inspect units for any flaws throughout the assembly process.

    + Paint ends of materials and work with non-fiberglass insulation.

    + Wrap netting around final units and inspect the manufacturing process.

    + Work with large pieces of glass and sheet metal, ensuring precision.

    + Retrieve materials from the yard for unit testing and assembly.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 3 years experience in a mechanical role.

    + Proficiency in reading blueprints and using power tools.

    + Experience in construction, mechanical assembly, and installation.

    + Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

    + 1-2 years of experience with hand and power tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Mechanical aptitude and flexibility in performing various tasks.

    + Computer skills are a plus.

    + Experience in construction or home improvement is ideal.

    + Ability to work in a team environment and receive feedback well.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a dynamic, non-climate controlled manufacturing facility with loud machinery and a busy atmosphere. The team environment involves handling large glass and sheet metal pieces. Shifts run from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with mandatory overtime when required. Be prepared to work both indoors and outdoors for material handling tasks.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
