Dental Patient Access Specialist, Bilingual-Spanish REQUIRED

Monday- Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (with minimal flexibility after 5:00 pm)

Join our team as a Dental Patient Access Specialist and take on the challenge of providing dynamic, efficient, and personable patient registration services. You'll play a pivotal role in scheduling patients according to the standards of our clinic while strategically coordinating appointments for a professional, patient-focused experience.
Responsibilities:
+ Ensure accurate completion of all registration forms.
+ Facilitate patient online access, obtaining necessary consents and signatures.
+ Collaborate with eAssist for verification of dental benefits prior to initial appointment.
+ Schedule initial and follow-up patient appointments.
+ Handle a high volume of incoming and outgoing calls related to patient care.
+ Coordinate schedules for staff and other team members, optimizing patient flow and appointment availability.
+ Manage patient insurance pre-authorizations as needed prior to treatment.
+ Receive and promptly respond to communications from patients and external parties.
+ Maintain regular attendance as an essential aspect of the role.
+ Demonstrate reliability and punctuality, with an expectation of 40 hours per week on-site with minimal flexibility after 5:00 pm.
+ Fulfill other assigned duties as necessary.
Skills and Experience Required:
+ Previous 1-2 years of experience working within a dental or medical office needed.
+ Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer applications, including MS Office, and type 40 WPM.
+ Bilingual-Spanish speaking required.
+ Quickly grasp and proficiently navigate diverse Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
+ Deliver exceptional customer service to all patients.
+ Foster strong communication and collaboration with staff to promote teamwork and professionalism.
+ Uphold strict adherence to confidentiality regulations such as HIPAA and FERPA at both state and federal levels.
+ Consistently adhere to university policies, professional standards, and Service Excellence Standards.
