    Responsibilities:

    + Performs mechanical, general maintenance, and repair tasks in accordance with UPMC Washington standards, policies, and procedures.

    + Demonstrates core maintenance competencies and completes technical tasks as delegated by UPMC Washington guidelines.

    + Communicates effectively with team members and departments to support coordinated, quality care and services.

    + Adheres to safety, confidentiality, and HIPAA regulations, ensuring the protection of patients, staff, and information.

    + Documents work accurately using established systems and protocols, maintaining compliance with electronic record policies.

    + Participates in training, meetings, and continuous improvement efforts to maintain and enhance job performance.

    + Collaborates with patients, families, and staff to deliver respectful, patient-centered service and care.

    + Supports UPMC Washington performance and quality improvement initiatives, contributing ideas and participating in process enhancements.

    + Acts as a positive team member, fostering respectful, professional relationships across all levels of the organization.

    + Assists with onboarding and mentoring of new staff and uses courteous, unbiased communication in all interactions.

     

    Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7:30AM. - 4PM. There will be some local travel between sites. Must be able to work other shifts/days, if needed at times.

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

    + Four years' experience as a General Maintenance Repairman (gas and electric welding, general electrical repairs, mechanical repairs) or two years' experience with a diploma in Building Maintenance (or related field) from a recognized trade school.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

    + Valid driver's license required without any MVR Violations during most recent time period specified by UPMC Washington automobile insurance carrier

    + Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

    + Act 34 with renewal
