UW Medical Center Montlake’s Roosevelt Clinic Center for Reproductive Services** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Financial Access Specialist 1** **WORK SCHEDULE

+ 100%FTE, 100% ONSITE

+ Days – Monday-Friday

+ 8am-4pm **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION**

UW Medicine Patient Financial Access Services Department - Financial Access Clearance Team (FACT)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Review scheduled appointments through patient work queue

+ Obtain insurance authorizations through assigned payer administrators

+ Verifying/document patients' eligibility and benefits in Epic auth/cert

+ Refer uninsured patients for Medicaid/Charity eligibility screening

+ Prepare estimates of fees upon request from Patient Care Consultants

+ Interpret hospital's policies, procedures and services to patients, patient representatives, inter/intra-hospital departments and community facilities

+ Verify patient benefits and document information **REQUIREMENTS**

+ High School diploma or GED certificate

+ AND one year of experience in a medial office setting
