Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk for one of our clients located in Las Vegas, Nevada on a contract basis. In this role as an accounts payable clerk, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth and timely processing of vendor invoices, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the accounting team during a period of high workload. Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with company guidelines.

• Code and enter invoices into the Viewpoint Spectrum system for tracking and payment purposes.

• Perform regular check runs and maintain organized records of payments.

• Address vendor inquiries and resolve issues related to invoice status or payments.

• Collaborate with team members to streamline procedures and improve operational efficiency.

• Support colleagues by taking initiative on tasks and assisting where needed.

• Manage filing systems to keep financial documents well-organized and easily accessible.

• Handle ambiguity and adapt to evolving processes within the accounting department.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure smooth communication and operations.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related role.

• Proficiency with invoice processing and coding, including handling vendor invoices.

• Familiarity with Viewpoint Spectrum or similar accounting systems.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting tasks.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and evolving setting.

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.
