    Job Description

    Our client is seeking a Press Room Assistant Supervisor to support daily operations in the press department. This role is ideal for someone with strong machine operating experience and a solid work ethic who can help drive productivity, maintain quality standards, and complement the strengths of the Press Room Supervisor. This is a temporary to permanent position.

    Responsibilities:

    Assist in supervising press room staff to ensure production goals are met efficiently and safely.

     

    Operate punch press machines and assist team members with setup and troubleshooting.

     

    Perform required preventative maintenance on assigned presses within scheduled time frames.

     

    Cut raw materials to appropriate sizes and measure both raw and finished parts for accuracy.

     

    Lubricate machinery and components per documented work instructions.

     

    Conduct and oversee dimensional and visual inspections to ensure parts meet customer requirements.

     

    Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment and enforce safety protocols.

     

    Support team members in moving materials throughout the shop and managing product flow.

     

    Monitor and perform quality checks on finished products and maintain production records.

     

    Train and mentor press operators and production staff as needed.

    Qualifications:

    Prior experience in a press room or manufacturing environment, including machine operation and team leadership.

     

    Strong understanding of press equipment and preventative maintenance.

     

    Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.

     

    Excellent communication and organizational skills.

     

    Proven ability to lead by example and support a high-performing production team.

     

    Hours: 7:00am-3:45pm Monday-Friday

     

    Pay Rate: $21-22/hour based on qualifications
