About Us At BrightStar Care of Fayetteville, we deliver professional, compassionate home care backed by a commitment to excellence. Our team is known for providing outstanding service to both our clients and our employees—and we’re looking for someone to help us grow with integrity and efficiency. We are currently seeking a Human Resource & Compliance Coordinator who is eager to make an impact. This is a mid-level position with the potential for growth into a management role. If you’re organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping people succeed while keeping the business protected, we’d love to meet you.     The Role at a Glance This is a full-time, in-office position designed for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a structured environment and enjoys building systems that support people and policy. You'll lead recruiting, on-boarding, employee support, and HR operations—but just as importantly, you’ll play a key role in maintaining regulatory and operational compliance for our home care agency. From tracking licenses and background checks to staying aligned with state labor law, this role requires someone who understands (or is eager to learn) the compliance side of HR—and is ready to take full ownership of doing things right, the first time. If you’re organized, proactive, and looking for a role where you can grow into leadership while protecting a company that truly serves its community, this is the opportunity for you.       What You’ll Be Responsible For  Compliance, Benefits, and Reporting * Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions * Ensure all HR policies, procedures, and reporting practices comply with Georgia state and federal laws * Keep accurate records of personnel transactions (hires, promotions, transfers, terminations), and employee statistics * Administer and track performance review programs to ensure fairness and compliance * Investigate workplace incidents and prepare reports for insurance or legal purposes * Prepare employee separation documentation and conduct exit interviews. * Track expiration dates for employee credentials (like CPR, TB tests, background checks, and training certificates) * Conduct regular audits of personnel files to confirm documents are current and complete * Support policy updates and help communicate rule changes to staff  Recruitment & Onboarding * Plan, lead, and execute recruiting, interviewing, testing, and selection for open positions * Coordinate with leadership to create job descriptions and hiring plans for each role * Use a mix of recruiting strategies (job boards, professional networks, internet, career fairs) to attract qualified candidates * Build and maintain relationships with passive candidates and recruiting networks * Maintain all applicant and interview data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) * Conduct reference and background checks and assist in sending offer/rejection letters * Lead orientation and onboarding processes, ensuring new employees understand company goals, compliance standards, and job responsibilities * Organize onboarding for new hires, making sure all required paperwork, training, and health documentation is collected and complete * Coordinate orientation sessions that set employees up for long-term success * Help train new employees on company procedures and professional standards Employee Engagement & Training * Train managers on topics such as interviewing, hiring, performance management, safety, and workplace conduct * Provide ongoing guidance to managers on resolving employee relations issues professionally and legally * Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures * Communicate regularly with staff to foster morale and engagement while maintaining professional boundaries * Aid public relations in building a reputation as an “employer of choice” in the community * Assist in preparing and delivering employee training and compliance education * Maintain accurate employee records * Support supervisors with documentation for attendance, performance issues, or employee concerns * Offer professional, timely responses to questions about policies, benefits, or procedures * Maintain respectful and clear boundaries between personal and professional matters  Strategic Leadership & Growth Potential * Conduct regular follow-ups with managers to ensure hiring and onboarding processes are effective * Monitor the success of recruitment efforts and identify opportunities for improvement * Take initiative on special projects related to recruiting, onboarding, compliance, or employee development * Show judgment and initiative to grow into a future HR Manager role through reliability, execution, and team support * Look for ways to improve the efficiency of hiring, onboarding, or compliance tracking * Take initiative when problems arise and follow through to resolution * Bring good judgment, common sense, and a sense of urgency to your work     Who You Are * You take pride in doing things the right way and on time * You’re dependable, organized, and calm under pressure * You understand when to follow policy and when to ask for help * You enjoy being part of a team but are confident working independently * You believe in professionalism, fairness, and follow-through * You don’t wait to be told what to do—you take action when you see something that needs to be done     Qualifications * 3–5 years of hands-on experience in human resources, with at least 1–2 years in recruiting, onboarding, and team support * Experience in a healthcare or home care setting is strongly preferred and will be given special consideration * Solid working knowledge of state and federal employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance standards * Professional certification (e.g., PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred but not required * Strong interpersonal and coaching skills—able to communicate clearly, listen actively, and offer support with professionalism * Excellent organizational and time management skills, especially when handling multiple priorities * Proven ability to gather, document, and analyze HR-related data to support decisions and reporting * Tech-savvy and comfortable using HR software, digital filing systems, and basic Microsoft Office tools * High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information * Willing and able to travel occasionally for recruitment events, job fairs, or professional development * A self-starter who takes initiative, works independently, and follows through without procrastination * Strong common sense, emotional intelligence, and the ability to separate personal from professional conversations     Compensation & Benefits We offer: * Competitive salary based on experience * Paid time off * Weekly pay with direct deposit * Training and professional development opportunities * A path for promotion and leadership growth within the company     We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against applicants due to race, ethnicity, gender, veteran status, or on the basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
