    Overview

     

    As a Steampunk **Scrum Master** , you’ll be asked to serve as the Scrum Master on an Agile software development team.

    Contributions

    + Experience managing Agile/Information Technology related projects and must be well versed in software development life cycle and project management methodologies

    + Scrum Master will oversee scrum team for key high-priority project for the client

    + Must be able to identify and mitigate risks. We are looking for a Scrum Master with excellent communication skills who can work with key stakeholders/customers to support planning and delivery of technical IT development Agile projects.

    + Scrum Master will help define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.

    + Scrum Master will assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members.

    + Must support managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and help to implement an effective system of project governance.

    + Primary focus is making sure the teams are effective and focused on their work

    + Coaches the teams in their understanding of the delivery process, the agile mindset, and client values

    + Helps the team use their time wisely and avoid distractions

    + Serves business engagement by making sure team issues are escalated, worked, and resolved

    + Apply different techniques to facilitate meetings and workshops, create a shared understanding with stakeholders, and engage team-members to produce product and portfolio roadmaps.

    + Collaborates with stakeholders and product teams to decompose large epics into features and user stories that can be understood and approved by members of the development team.

    + Document Acceptance Criteria in stories in a way that both development team and business stakeholders can understand and agree on the content.

    + Function as direct manager for team members including setting goals, day to day work, and career growth.

    Qualifications

    + Authorized to work for any U.S. employer

    + 2+ years of experience with Scrum/Kanban Methodologies

    + 1+ years of experience serving as the Product Owner or Scrum Master

    + Must have CSM and SAFe certifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

    + Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence

    + Ability to help teams write user stories/epics, identify dependencies, and design optimal solutions

    + Flexibility to work with teams, individuals and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people

    + Excellent interpersonal/communication skills

    + Experience working in a studio / human centered design approach
