    Key Job Responsibilities for Senior Vendor Manager - HP:

    • Drive HP's top and bottom line growth across printers, ink, toner, and emerging office technologies, leveraging deep industry knowledge and data-driven insights.

    • Develop and execute innovative strategies to expand HP's product selection, focusing on high-growth areas like smart tank printers and managed print services.

    • Lead negotiations for strategic deals, including exclusive product launches, marketing investments, and supply chain optimizations to enhance HP's competitive position on Amazon.

    • Collaborate with internal teams to improve the customer experience for HP products, addressing issues like counterfeits and enhancing product discoverability.

    • Analyze market trends and customer data to identify growth opportunities, such as expanding HP's presence in the B2B segment through Amazon Business.

    • Work closely with HP executives to align on long-term business objectives, resolving complex challenges like MAP pricing and inventory allocation.

    • Partner with Amazon Advertising to develop targeted campaigns that drive customer engagement and sales for HP products.

    • Optimize HP's participation in key retail events like Prime Day, ensuring strong deal selection and inventory readiness.

    • Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, such as streamlining bulk buys and reducing supply chain costs.

    • Mentor team members and collaborate across functions to drive innovation and best practices in vendor management.

    A day in the life

     

    In this dynamic role as HP's Senior Vendor Manager at Amazon, you'll be at the forefront of reimagining the customer experience for office products. A significant part of your day involves collaborating with cutting-edge technology teams across Amazon to integrate HP's products into innovative ecosystems. You might brainstorm with the Alexa team on how to enhance voice-activated printing and ink replenishment, or work with the Amazon Go team to revolutionize office supply procurement. Engaging with Amazon's AI and machine learning experts, you'll explore predictive maintenance for HP printers and personalized content delivery through smart displays.

     

    Your strategic vision will be crucial in identifying opportunities to leverage Amazon's vast data insights to create unique, value-added services for HP customers. This could involve partnering with the Amazon Business team to develop AI-driven managed print services for enterprise clients or collaborating with the Amazon Web Services team to create cloud-based document management solutions integrated with HP hardware.

     

    You'll also play a key role in shaping the future of work, partnering with Amazon's Future of Work initiatives to position HP's products within next-generation office environments. This might include developing concepts for smart meeting rooms powered by HP and Alexa technologies or exploring how HP's product line can integrate with Amazon's remote work tools.

     

    Throughout these initiatives, you'll need to balance innovation with practicality, ensuring that new ideas align with both Amazon's customer-centric approach and HP's brand strategy. Your ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both internal stakeholders and HP executives will be critical in driving these transformative projects forward.

    About the team

    As a key member of the Office GL team, you'll collaborate closely with a diverse group of professionals across two dynamic business units: Office Electronics and Office Supplies. Working alongside vendor managers, supply chain experts, and customer success specialists, you'll drive synergies between HP's product lineup and Amazon's vast ecosystem. Your role is pivotal in orchestrating cross-functional initiatives that span both hardware and consumables, ensuring a seamless customer experience. By leveraging the collective expertise of the team, you'll develop innovative strategies that not only optimize HP's performance but also elevate the entire Office category, setting new standards in e-commerce for office products.

    Basic Qualifications

    - 5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience

     

    - Bachelor's degree

     

    - Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL

     

    - Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration

     

    - Experience using data to influence business decisions

     

    - Experience with business analysis and P&L management

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
